Martin gained the dash race at Le Mans and went on to complete second within the grand prix on Sunday to register his first primary race podium of the season.
It got here after the Pramac Ducati rider locked horns with Marquez over runner-up spot on the rostrum, with the previous successful out after the Honda man crashed on the penultimate lap.
After Marquez collided with Martin in Portugal, the Pramac rider says their Le Mans battle was one of the simplest ways “to unravel our issues”.
“I had a very large battle with Marc,” Martin mentioned on Sunday in France.
“I actually loved it, as a result of we had a second in Portimao, so it was [the best way] to unravel our issues on the observe.
“He was quick, he was aggressive however we had been each giving our area. I attempted a transfer in a spot that I assumed he was struggling a bit, he made a mistake.
“I’m pleased for the rostrum, my first [grand prix] podium of the season.

Martin admits his battle with Marquez in the end stopped him from with the ability to problem Marco Bezzecchi for the win.
However he says this proves he has to get higher at overtaking and managing his entrance tyre stress when he’s using behind different riders.
“I feel I misplaced a whole lot of time,” he added.
“It was good, I loved it quite a bit, however I misplaced my alternatives to go along with Marco as a result of I felt like my tempo was a lot sooner.
“However I would like to enhance overtaking, I would like to enhance when I’m using with different riders as a result of I’m battling the entrance tyre stress.
